Clayton Bunraj is a petroleum engineer, entrepreneur and data enthusiast. He is currently working for Perenco and has held roles in subsurface, production operations and artificial lift.
Clayton has spent much of his career developing applications to clean and analyze large data sets and creating automated workflows to ease in decision making. He is the cofounder of Lucky Pops, a local ice cream manufacturer, and Ibis Analytics, which aims to help SME’s automate sales, distribution and warehousing.
2020 Conference Postponed
The Society of Petroleum Engineers Trinidad and Tobago (SPETT) Energy Resources Conference Team is closely monitoring the impact of the coronavirus on travel and events.
Considering the rapidly changing guidance from governments and companies, the SPETT Energy Resources Conference committee has chosen to postpone the conference scheduled for June 29th – July 1st 2020. We are actively working to confirm the new dates.

Ms. Penelope Bradshaw-Niles, Permanent Secretary (Ag), has been with the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries for the past twenty years. Ms. Bradshaw-Niles holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering and MSc in Engineering Management from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in Petroleum Management from the University of Kansas.
Her past roles include being the Team Leader, Acreage Management in the Resource Management Division with responsibility for the oversight of the Trinidad and Tobago Natural Gas and the Crude Oil Reserves Audit and coordination of competitive bid rounds since 2012.
She recently led a team to develop the Ministry of Energy’s Strategic Plan for 2017-2021 and is involved in the development of cross-border initiatives with Trinidad and Tobago’s neighbouring territories, Venezuela, Grenada and Guyana. Other areas of focus include being a Member of the Steering Committee for the CO2EOR Roadmap Initiative, which is a government/academia/ industry collaboration to increase oil production through carbon dioxide EOR and preparation of Trinidad and Tobago’s submission to the United Nation’s Commission of the Limits of the Continental Shelf.
Keith Bally is Vice President Reservoir Development at BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC. In his current role, Keith is accountable for Production, Resource Progression and Management across the Trinidad Region which includes reservoir management, base management and production forecasting in BP Fields, new wells planning and delivery, subsurface technology and seismic delivery. Prior to his current role in BP, Keith held several leadership roles including Appraisal General Manager for projects in Angola, Senior Manager Basin Developments in Trinidad and Mahogany Field Trinidad Asset Delivery Manager.
Keith is a geologist/petrophysicist by background, and early in his career spent time working on exploration, development and production projects in Trinidad, China and Myanmar(Burma). He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, in Winnipeg Canada, Amoco Petrophysics Program in Tulsa, and most recently the joint Massachusetts Institute of Technology/ BP Projects Academy in Boston, Ma.
Mr. Allan Russell is currently employed as Business Advisor at Perenco T&T Limited, Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. He has over forty years of oilfield experience in many areas of the petroleum business such as operations, exploration, development, gas, LNG and management.
Mr. Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Sciences, majoring in mathematics and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering.
Edward Bahaw has worked as an economist in various capacities in different industries in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2015, he completed his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Energy Economics in which he applied econometric modelling techniques to analyze the impact of the energy sector on the economy of Trinidad and Tobago.
He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Trinidad and Tobago where he continues his research on the management of energy resources for sustained economic development.

Mr. Breton has spent the last 15 years with Perenco working on projects in multiple countries in Africa and South America in various positions. He arrived in T&T in December 2016 from the Democratic Republic of Congo where he spent the last two years as General Manager. Before this assignment he spent 3 years working in a heavy oil field development in Peru.
Vincent Pereira is President of BHP Trinidad and Tobago, which operates the Greater Angostura Development and Exploration Deepwater Blocks. He is responsible for the firm’s safe and reliable operations.
Mr. Derek Hudson is a geologist by profession and has worked in the oil and gas industry for almost three decades. He joined BG Group in 1995 and held previous roles as Vice President of one of BG’s UK upstream businesses from 2000 to 2004, Chief of Staff in Trinidad and Tobago from 2005 to 2007, President and Asset General Manager of BG Trinidad & Tobago from 2007 to 2012 and thereafter assumed a similar role for BG in East Africa, covering Tanzania, Kenya and Madagascar.
Following the combination of Royal Dutch Shell and BG Group in February, 2016, Mr. Hudson served as Shell’s Vice President Tanzania before his appointment to the position of Vice President Trinidad & Tobago where he is responsible for Shell’s business in country. He has recently added the portfolio of Country Chairman to his current duties in Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Hudson was appointed to the Board of Scotia Bank Trinidad and Tobago Ltd. in June, 2016, and has also served on the boards of NGOs and other voluntary organizations in Trinidad and Tobago. He performed the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago from 2005 – 2010.
Economist Mr. Mc Guire holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from the UWI St. Augustine. He holds several other relevant professional certification including- Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard, Change Management and Fundamentals of Risk Management.
He spent 24 years at the National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited where he had managerial responsibility mainly for Strategy Management and Marketing. He is a former lecturer in Strategy, Project Management and Evaluation and Energy Economics, at UWI. St. Augustine.
Gregory McGuire is currently, Principal Consultant of his firm, VSL Consultants, a director of the Lloyd Best Institute of the West Indies, member of the Board of Governors of the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, and a Director at the Eco-Industrial Development Company of Tobago (EIDECOT).
Roger Packer began his career in the Energy Sector at Dowell Schlumberger in 1976. He joined IAL Engineering Services Limited in 1984 in the position of General Manager where he served until 1992, thereafter serving on the Board of Directors for IAL Engineering Services Limited until this present day.
Roger Packer is currently the Managing Director of Tucker Energy Services Limited, a portfolio he has held since 1992. Roger Packer has over 40 years of experience in both operations and management. He was responsible for expanding the Tucker operations into Venezuela, Colombia and Suriname.
Roger is passionate about the development of a QHSSE culture within the energy services sector. His commitment is evident through his involvement in the STOW (Safe-to-Work) Initiative and his continued work with the Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago.
During the period 2011 to 2014 Roger Packer served as the Chairman of The Energy Chamber of Trinidad and Tobago, having previously served on the Board between 1987 and 1990. In 1995, he obtained an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBD) from the University of the West Indies. He was the Membership Chairman and the Programme Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) – Trinidad & Tobago Section in 2002 and 2003 respectively.
Roger Packer has been serving on the board of Directors for RBC Royal Bank (Trinidad & Tobago) Limited and RBC Merchant Bank (Caribbean) Limited since October 2014 to present.
